Komatsu’s PC2000-8 mining excavator / shovel is designed to minimise operating costs through excellent fuel efficiency and easy maintenance. Available in backhoe and loading shovel configurations, this 200-tonne machine is also extremely safe, comfortable and environmentally friendly. 

The komatsu PC 2000-8 LC excavator has a HydrauMid type hydraulic system specification which is equipped with an LS (Load Sensing) Valve. The komatsu PC 2000-8 LC excavator hydraulic system uses a Variable Displacement Piston Pump type hydraulic pump.

The type of hydraulic pump (Variable Displacement Piston Pump) used supplies oil or fluid to hydraulic system components such as, bucket cylinder, cylinder arm, boom cylinder, 2 travel motors, swing motors other hydraulic components.

Productivity and Economy

With a choice of 12 m3 and 14 m3 buckets, the freedom to choose the bucket specification that suits the material and working conditions is possible, maximum productivity will be obtained with the right bucket selection. Most importantly, the fuel consumption is 10% lower in economy mode, an improvement over the previous product PC1800-6, which is achieved by a more advanced Total Power Management System and Hydraulic System. The use of this latest technology results in lower fuel consumption with increased engine performance so as to obtain maximum engine efficiency.

In addition, the use of the new Komatsu SAA12V140E-3 engine with a power output of 713kW (956 HP) with two working modes: economy mode and power mode, which can be adjusted to the working field conditions, adds to the power of the PC2000-8 in loading materials into the Dump Truck. The combination of PC2000-8 with HD785-7 is the right mix to achieve optimal production.
